Oh, Chris Brown. Just when he seemed to be turing his life around and making an effort to act like a respectable human being, he goes and does something stupid like this.

According to reports, Brown was in Miami this past weekend for the Ultra Festival, and rented a house in the area. Naturally, he invited groupies and hangers-on to party at the house.

Then this past Monday morning at 9AM, Brown was photographed choking out one of the girls at his house while a second girl attempted to pry him off the victim.

Now according to a report from TMZ, Brown’s lawyer is furious — not at his clients dumb, careless behavior, but at his lack of privacy. “She’s a friend,” Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos told TMZ. “It’s obviously playful as she confirmed. Whoever invaded their privacy will be held accountable.”

Was this horseplay as everyone involved is claiming? Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, but it’s impossible to not think about Rihanna when you look at these images.

This choking incident comes on the heels after forgotten ’90s singer Vanessa Carlton scolded Brown for mentioning her in one of his Instagram posts.

After Brown posted a screen cap of Carlton’s video for the song, “A Thousand Miles,” she publicly condemned him and shared her disgust for being associated to him — even in Instagram form.

“Today Chris Brown posted my video. I am now being repeatedly tagged to his account,” she wrote on her Instagram account. “Being that today is International Women’s Day I feel compelled to draw a line.”

Beating Rihanna and all of his other cases of violence will always be a part of Brown’s persona — the public never forgets. That said, you’d think Brown would be on his best behavior around women.

Even if this is just horseplay as he insists this latest incident was, why would he even allow anyone to see him in this situation.

Is Brown making an effort to change what the public thinks about him? Well, his behavior has improved up until these images got out. Will he ever realize that violence against women is wrong? These photos prove he still has a ways to go.
